Rhys Hoskins doubled with two outs in the top of the 11th inning to score Andrew Benintendi and give St. Louis a 3-2 win over Evansville at Yankee Stadium (1952).
The victory gave the River Walkers wins in two of their three games against the Big Bossemen.
Bossemen reliever J.B. Wendelken retired the first two St. Louis hitters in the top of the 11th.
But he was replaced by Jairo Labourt.
He walked Benintendi.
Hoskins followed with a double over the center fielder's head, which was enough to bring Benintendi around the bases.
St. Louis had trailed 2-1 going into the top of the sixth.
Jared Thomas reached on a one-out single off reliever Jose Quintana.
Thomas was eliminated when Johan Camargo hit into a fielder's chice.
Edmond Americaan followed with a single.
Pinch-hitter Tanner Kohlhepp then lofted a fly ball into the outfield which center fielder Victor Robles misplayed.
Camargo scored on the play.
Walkers starting pitcher Argenis Batista worked five innings, allowing two runs on five hits.
St. Louis followed with six relievers -- Nick Lodolo (0.2 IP), John Curtiss (1.1), Dan Jennings (1.0), Danny Grigg (1.1), Jake Brentz (0.2) and Edwin Diaz (1.0) -- with Brentz (3-0) getting the win and Diaz collecting his ninth save.
