Record: 20-7, 1st, 4.5 GA Springfield
Omar Lombard drew a bases-loaded walk from St. Louis relief pitcher John Curtiss with no outs in the bottom of the ninth inning to give Grand Rapids a 4-3 win at the Polo Grounds (1923).
The River Walkers had tied it in the top of the ninth on a one-out solo homer by pinch-hitter Johan Camargo off Traders reliever Kevin Milam.

Quinn Bodery led off with a single off reliever Dan Jennings and Kevin Pillar followed with a walk,
A Levi Usher infield single then jammed the bags and brought Curtiss into the game.
An inside-the-park homer from Kris Bryant to lead off the bottom of the second had put Grand Rapids up 1-0.
A Jared Thomas RBI single off Traders starter Lance McCullers Jr. tied it in the fourth.
Tanner Kohlhepp drove in a run with a double off reliever Zachary Stella, giving the Walkers a 2-1 advantage in the top of the eighth.
Christian Yellich cranked a two-out, two-run homer off Jake Brentz in the bottom of the eighth, as the Traders went up 3-2.
