Walkers news: May 3 -- St. Louis 3, Quad City 1

Aregnis Batista allowed one run over 6.2 innings and Bo Bichette and Jared Thomas hit solo homers to power St. Louis to a 3-1 win over Quad City at Busch Stadium (1997).
Bichette got his homer leading off the bottom of the first inning knocking an 0-1 pitch from Adam Haseley 396 feet over the wall in left field.
An inning later, Thomas did the deed with a one-out shot off Haseley, also on an 0-1 count. His traveled 382 feet.
The Thunder got its lone run in the top of the third. Daniel Johnson Jr. led off the inning with a double off Batista and scored on an Randolph Thorne sacrifice fly.
St. Louis regained its two-run lead in the bottom of the fourth when Jean Carmona led off with a single and eventually scored on a Bichette ground out.
Batista exited after allowing a two-out double to Johnson in the top of the seventh.
Nick Lodolo took his place and got Shane Shifflett to fly out.
In his 6.2 innings, Batista (3-2) allowed one run on five hits. He struck out six and walked one.
Danny Grigg set Q-C down in order in the eighth. Edwin Diaz followed suit in the ninth for his seventh save.
