Walkers news: April 21 -- St. Louis 3, Twin Cities 2

Record: 9-4, 1st, 1 GA Springfield
Adonis Medina didn't allow a run through eight innings before retiring having thrown 10 pitches and St. Louis held on for a 3-2 win over St. Louis at the Metrodome (1996).
The only hit Medina (2-0) allowed was a lead-off single to Will Banfield in the third inning.
Overall, he allowed no runs on one hits. He struck out six and walked two.
Leading 3-0, River Walkers reliever John Curtiss almost made a mess of the ninth.
He retired the second batter of the inning, Roc Riggio, and Jose Devers followed with a homer drawing the Snow Cats to within a run.
Closer Edwin Diaz was called upon and he struck out Sammy Siani and got Jonathon India to fly out to end it and earn himself his fourth save of the season.
The game was scoreless into the top of the fifth when the Walkers scored twice against Twin Cities starter Regi Grace.
Rehys Hoskins led off with a single and Jean Carmona followed with a double, putting runners at second and third.
A Tanner Kohlhepp single chased home Hoskins,
Carmona scored when Austin Barnes grounded out.
St. Louis got what turned out to be a needed third run an inning later.
Christian Arroyo scored it after he reached on a one-out single off Grace.
A two-out walk to Hoskins moved him to second, and ended Grace's tour on the mound.
Matt Sauer took over and Jean Carmona slashed a pitch into right center to make it 3-0.
