After a disappointing 2-4 home stand, the Rangers head to Minnesota for four games.

Philadelphia 27 year old SP Barry Lersch suffered a season ending torn back muscle.

Maddox gets the offense going right away with a lead off double to start the game and Biittner followed right up with his own double to score Maddox. Nelson then singled up the middle to bring Biittner home.

Meanwhile, Bosman was perfect through three to get his ERA back below 4.

After three: Texas 2 Minnesota 0.

An error helped Minnesota get on the board in the fourth.

After six: Texas 2 Minnesota 1.

Paul Lindblad was brought in to pitch the ninth and he blew the save as the Twins sent the game into extra innings.

After nine: Texas 2 Minnesota 2.

Lindblad would then walk three batters, one intentional, to load the bases in the tenth and the Twins would score the winning run on a passed ball to send the Rangers to their fourth straight defeat.

Final score: Minnesota 3 Texas 2 10 innings
