Walkers news: May 19 -- St. Louis 4, Toledo 3, 11 innings

Record: 20-15, 2nd, 0.5 GB Des Moines
Rookie Larry Ernesto capped a 4 for 5 effort with a game-winning sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 11th inning to give St. Louis a 4-3 win over Toledo at Busch Stadium (1997).
Edmond Americaan led off the bottom of the 11th with a single off Mud Hens reliever Brian Clark. A Christian Arroyo single moved him to second before Nicky Delmonico struck out for the first out.
Justin Dunn replaced Clark and saw the bases become loaded when Rhys Hoskins reached on an error by third baseman Todd Frazier.
Ernesto, who had four singles in his previous five at bats, then drove a fly ball to center deep enough to score Americaan.
St. Louis had 17 hits in the game, 16 of them singles.
Toledo took a 2-0 lead with a pair of runs off St. Louis starter Brendan Spagnuolo in the third inning.
But the River Walkers went on top in the fourth with three runs off reliever Javier Medina.
Hens starter Josh Tomlin had left the game after being injured while legging out a double in the third.
Brock Holt drove in the first run with a fielder's choice.
The other two scored on a Spagnuolo single and Americaan double, respectively.
Toledo tied it in the seventh on a Josh Bell homer off Bobby Poyner.
Spagnuolo worked six innings, allowing two runs on five hits.

It took five relievers -- Jake Brentz (1.0), Phil Maton (0.2), Poyner (0.1), John Curtiss (2.0) and Reyes Moronta (1.0) -- to cover the final six innings.
Moronta earned his first win of the season.
