Walkers news: Benintendi to miss three weeks
The St. Louis River Walkers have announced outfielder Andrew Benintendi will miss three weeks with a sprained knee suffered in a May 8 game against Chicago.
In 27 games this season, the 28-year-old Benintendi was batting .263 with three homers and 17 RBIs.
Getting the callup from AAA Memphis will be 22-year-old outfielder Larry Ernesto.
It will be the second callup of the season for Ernesto, in an earlier stint in the majors he batted .214 with one homer and three RBIs in seven games.
At Memphis, Ernesto is batting ..227 with one homer and eight RBIs in 16 games.
