In the top of the eighth, with a runner at second and one out, Ramiro Mendoza took the mound for the Yankees and he stranded the runner at third.

In the top of the ninth, with runners at first and second and one out, Mariano Rivera took the mound for the Yankees and got Wilson to ground into the game-ending 5-4-3.

The Yankees racked up 14 hits in the win.
