The Canadiens did not have a good start to the season. The team has struggled at both ends of the rink. Just to get back into the playoff race then would need to get 30 points in the next 20 games. One thing I think we can count on is that
Wilf Nestor will be better in the next 20 games.
Goalies | Age | Wins | Losses | T/OL | SO | GAA | SV% |
Nestor, Wilf | 28 | 6 | 11 | 2 | 0 | 3.25 | 0.903 |
Mertel, Stefan | 29 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0.96 | 0.963 |
Not that our record is totally the responsibility of
Wilf Nestor, we know he will be better, but we are not scoring many goals. We had only one back to back this first stretch, so not much action for
Stefan Merkel.

Steinberg, Kevin | 25 | 2 | 0 | 1 | 1 | 0 | 0 |
I am going to send
Oscar Breuer to the AHL and bring up back up
Kevin Steinberg. Steinberg had 3 goals and 12 points in 13 games in the AHL and was a +13.

I am going to demote
Elais Gustavsson and
Kevin Martin to the AHL. I am going to promote our 1981 1st round pick,
Herman Hedberg. The 20 year old Hedberg has 7 goals and 23 points in 19 games in the AHL. I am also going to promote
Andrew Walsh. The 20 year old Walsh has 12 goals and 29 points in 19 AHL games.
