Today is the second game of the four game series in Texas against the California Angels. The Rangers first ever road win and first ever home win came against the Angels. Of the Rangers four wins, three of them are against the Angels.

Detroit Tigers RP John Hiller will miss the rest of the season due to a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament.

In the bottom of the second, Ford smacked a two run double.

After three: Texas 2 California 0.

In the bottom of the fifth, Burroughs brought one home with a single. Kubiak followed up with his own RBI single.

After six: Texas 4 California 0.

In the top of the seventh, the Angels got their first run of the game on a McMullen double. McMullen would go on to score when Berry grounded into the 6-4-3.

In the bottom of the seventh, Nelson got one of the runs back with an RBI triple. With runners at the corners and one out, Mel D Queen took the mound for the Angels. Billings picked up an RBI with an infield single.

Dave Sells took the mound for the Angels in the bottom of the eighth.

Stanhouse went the distance as the Rangers have now beaten the Angels four straight times.

Final score: Texas 6 California 2.
