In the bottom of the first, Melton put the White Sox on the board with a run-scoring single.

May led off the bottom of the third with a 404 foot shot. Andrews added an RBI single. Hermann followed with a single that loaded the bases with one out. Johnstone then cracked a two run double. Nine men came to the plate in the inning.

In the top of the sixth, Bradley struck out Kubiak for his 20th K of the season.

In the bottom of the sixth, May added an RBI single.

After six: Chicago 6 Texas 0.

In the bottom of the seventh, the White Sox had runners on the corners and one out and Mike Paul replaced Bosman on the mound for the Rangers. Hermann beat out the 6-4-3 to bring Melton home from third.

In the top of the eighth, Maddox put the Rangers on the board with an RBI single.

In the bottom of the eighth, Williams hit an RBI triple. Jorge Orta came in to pinch hit and knocked Williams in with a single.

The White Sox pounded out 15 hits in the game.

Final score: Chicago 9 Texas 1.

Vicente Romo came on to pitch for the White Sox in the top of the eighth. Maddox brought in a run with a sacrifice fly.

Horacio Pina took the mound for the Rangers in the bottom of the eighth.

In the top of the ninth, Howard helped the Rangers pour it on with an RBI double.

The Rangers got 10 hits in the game.
