The BSBL just wrapped up its 1994 postseason and we now have openings for 3 new owners. The following three teams are up for grabs:

San Jose Owls: Under its last owner, the Owls finally became a competitive force in the BSBL. Powered by exceptional pitching and defense, the Owls made the playoffs in 1991 and again in this just ended season, 1994. If you'd like to jump in and be immediately competitive, San Jose is the team for you! Your challenge - can you pilot the Owls to consecutive playoff appearances for the first time in team history? Can you upgrade the Owls' offense enough to advance out of the first round of the playoffs in team history?

San Diego Breakers: The Breakers made the playoffs 5 years in a row from 1987-1991, but each of those playoff runs ended at the hands of one of the three teams that have dominated the Pacific Coast League of the BSBL for the last 10 seasons, Hollywood, Long Beach, and Seattle. To overcome these rivals, San Diego undertook a major rebuilding effort that you now get to take advantage of. The Breakers have the BSBL's #1 ranked farm system. The Breakers also have a young rotation of recently graduated prospects who are on the verge of dominating the league, the BSBL's best centerfielder, second best catcher, and a reliable, if aging closer. I think the Breakers can make the playoffs this season - are you the owner who can put them over the top?

Oklahoma 89ers: Oklahoma was one of the titans of the BSBL when the league first started. The 89ers made the playoffs every year from 1952-54, lost in the championship round in 1956, and finally won the title in 1957. The 89ers made the playoffs again in 1959, getting swept, and that sweep ended the golden age of Oklahoma baseball. The 89ers have made the playoffs twice since then ('86 and '91), but if you take on the 89ers, your biggest job will be turning around this once proud franchise. The 89ers have the BSBL's #5 farm system and hold the #1 pick in next season's draft, but the major league team does not have a lot of talent. If you are interested in building up a team from near scratch - this is the team for you!

If you are interested in any of these openings, email me (the deputy commissioner) and Jordan (the commissioner) at the email addresses listed in the first post of this thread. We are only just in the off-season now, so if you join soon, you will get a chance to leap in to signing free agents, making rule 5 draft picks, and trading with other owners! Join today!
