The struggling Chicago Blackhawks will be in town to face the Habs. The teams are meeting for the 1st time this year. The Hawks are (10-20-5) out of the gate. G Martin King will get the start.

Montreal get the early lead as LD Vincent Lavoie converts LW Emile Boudreau's feed for a 1-0 lead at 6:30. It was Lavoie's 5th of the year.
