Brace photos
This really is a sad outcome. I met George Brace once. I had visited his home in Chicago. He was a real gentleman who welcomed me graciously. He even took me to his basement to show me the many file cabinets containing the negatives representing the photos in his collection. It's understandable why Mary Brace wanted to keep the collection intact. It was well indexed, and I still have a copy of that index. It really is a tragedy that the collection apparently is now scattered to the winds.
