HOU: Don Panighetti (24-L 3-1 2.61 ERA) vs. POR: Lonny Tomski (27-R 0-1 3.38 ERA) Rookie

A rare sighting of a lefty! Only the 4th time we have faced one this season. We are 3-0 against lefties, but we have not faced one as good as Spaghetti Panighetti. He is 4th in the PCL with 38 SO. and has only walked 9 in 48.1 IP.

Lost - 4 to 2

The Los Angeles Angels won and knocked us out of First Place.

We had 6 hits and made no errors
Houston had 9 hits and made no errors

Lonny Tomski (L 0-2) went 5 innings, allowed 4 runs, 5 hits, 1 home run, 2 walks and struck out 1.
RHP Antonio Redd pitched 2 scoreless innings (barely), allowed 3 hits and struck out 5.
LHP Jerry Wilhelm pitched 2 scoreless innings, allowed 1 hit, 1 intentional walk and struck out 1.

Don Panighetti (W 4-1) went 7 innings, gave us 2 runs, 6 hits, 1 walk and struck out 4. At bat, he went 3 for 3, scored a run and had an RBI.
RHP Phil DeNui (SV 12) pitched a perfect 9th, striking out 1.
