Here is a second test, I ran this morning.

Since the quality players will be bought up by the NL/AL clubs (or the clubs who can afford to), the numbers still look realitsic.

Federal League

1910
St. Louis Terriers
2.70
.246

1911
Baltimore Terrapins
3.60
.253

1912
St. Louis Terriers
3.86
.257

1913
Kansas City Packers
4.04
.253

1914
St. Louis Terriers
4.02 (2.44)
.267 (.285)

1915
Baltimore Terrapins
3.27
.263

1916
Buffalo Blues
3.52 (2.61)
.267 (.268)

1917
Brooklyn Tip-Tops
3.46
.259

1918
St. Louis Terriers
3.56
.256

1919
Brooklyn Tip-Tops
4.00
.272

1920
Buffalo Blues
3.16
.251

Since I am not trying to recreate history to the decimal point (what fun would that be?), it works for me. There might be issues further down the pike, but I rarely make it past the late 50's before starting over in 1871.
