In the top of the first, Henderson got an RBI when Kelly scored from third on a groundout to first base.

In the top of the third, May had a run-scoring single. And Allen brought Kelly home with a sacrifice fly.

In the top of the fifth, it was May again with an RBI single. Allen followed up with a two-run homer.

Don Stanhouse took over pitching duties for the Rangers in the top of the sixth.

In the bottom of the sixth, Sudakis scored from third on a Johnson groundout to short.

After six: Chicago 6 Texas 1.

In the top of the seventh, Allen hit his second homer of the game, this time a three run shot.

In the top of the eighth, Reichardt singled for the White Sox 10th hit of the game. After a walk put runners at first and second with nobody out, Mike Paul took the mound for the Rangers. Henderson brought in a run with a double. One out later, Allen drew a walk to load the bases with one out. Melton then brought in a run with a sacrifice fly. Orta added an RBI single.

After a leadoff single by Maddox in the bottom of the ninth, Steve Kealey took the mound for the White Sox and got the final outs.

The Rangers committed three errors in the game.

Final score: Chicago 12 Texas 1.
