Extension
The St. Louis Cardinals announced today that they have signed young superstar Jesus Dorado to an eight-year extension worth $177 million.
Dorado will make $9 million in 2024, $14.8 million in 2025, $21.2 million in 2026, and $26.4 million every year until 2031 (the final year is a player option).
Cardinals GM Michael Girsch said "Jesus is a phenomenal talent and we're thrilled that he will remain in a Cardinals uniform for several more seasons."
Dorado said "I never dreamed that I would be capable of being where I am today...I love my teammates and this city and I'm super happy to re-sign. Now let's win a championship."
