1905 Free Agency
There are quite a few interesting stories in free agency this year, beginning with former #1 prospect Yago Pimentel. He has had massive injury issues throughout his career, having only pitched 79 games in the majors over the past 4 years. When pitching, he has been dominant, amassing 14 WAR in those 79 games. He is a very high risk, very high reward player.
Nate Clements has also found his way back on the free agency market. He used the player option in his contract and rejected the Marlins qualifying offer. He is the current MLB career leader in home runs with a whopping 66. In another time, another era, he may have 100 times that amount.
Deshawn Wetherspoon is the eternal free agent. He has been drafted thrice - first by the Rockies, then by the Orioles, and finally the Twins - and failed to sign every time. Perhaps he will find what he is looking for in free agency. Oddly enough, his personality ratings do not include high greed, but he does have low intelligence.
