State of the Blue Jays:

A little shakeup in the Blue Jays front office. Scouting director Alan Timmich was appointed as new assistant GM, while 41-year old Theo Epstein was appointed as the new head of Toronto's scouting department.

Also, the team announced that they drastically improved the scouting budget as well as the development budget.

News:
Just on opening day, the Blue Jays were awarded the contract of RHSP Daisuke 'Dice-K' Matsuzaka(32, 1.5*) off waivers from the Cleveland Indians. The japanese import had a horrible 2012 in Boston, going 1-7 with a 8.28ERA in 11 starts and lost the battle for the last Indians rotation spot this spring.

Our now assistant GM was pretty unhappy with those rankings as we are the 12th best minor league system in baseball. That is mostly because Gose and Hechavarria are not rookie eligible anymore. They will start the season in AAA, tho bringing in Gose to play center is in the books... and d'Arnaud is only in AAA to save up some service time.
