Portland Beavers (16-22 .421 10 GB in 8th (last) place in the PCL West) at
Sacramento Solons (20-19 .513 6.5 GB in 3rd place in the PCL West)

POR: Bobby Johnson (22-R 3-3 3.27) Rookie vs. SAC: Ellis Collier (27-R 4-4 4.58)

Johnson was shelled for the first time in his Major League career last time out, giving up 7 runs in 3.2 IP. He escaped the loss, however, since we scored 9 runs and won the game.

Collier is their #1 starter. We have not faced him before. He has 3 straight starts with at least 8 IP, but he lost last time out, only allowing 2 runs and 5 hits and striking out a season high 9.
