Insane number of Es, PBs, and WPs when simulating very early leagues.
I have noticed this before (PT-20 Launch Week). Several patches later, I just tried it again, and there is definitely something VERY wrong with the defensive calculations in pre-1900 games.
The general path to replicate is...
1. Start a [New Historical Game] (I chose 1871).
2. Select [Random Players from All Eras].
3. Otherwise, pick defaults to set up, draft teams, and start the league.
4. Play out a game.
Between both teams, you will find an average of 10-12 errors (I had one game with 24 errors between both teams), and a ridiculous number of passed balls and wild pitches.
The attached Box Score screenshot is from the first game I simmed in a new league created with the above steps. The players I drafted were, for the most part, superior on defense.
The version was PT 20.4 Build 40, but it was present in the launch build as well.
