I was able to get a game started disabling sound and disabling Open GL.. obviously was only in webcast view though.

Then I just recrashed the game when I tried to enable sound again, so I"m thinking it DOES have something to do with whatever sound error I've got going on. Hold on, I'll try a 3D game with sound disabled and see if that works.
