Player of the Month: Second baseman Jin-hwan Chung. A high-priced signing in the off-season, Chung busted loose in June after a slow first couple of months. He go into 26 games and batted .304 with three home runs and 18 RBIs. He scored 16 runs, had an eye-popping on-base percentge of .486 and a slugging percentage of .544. Chung also was named NL Rookie of the Month.
Starting Pitcher of the Month: Right-hander Aaron Nola was 5-0 in six starts with a 1.85 ERA over 39.0 innings. He struck out 36 and had a WHIP of 1.00. He was named NL Pitcher of the Month.
Relief Pitcher of the Month: Rookie right-hander Phil Maton got into 12 games and went 1-0 with one save. He pitched a total of 10 innings with an ERA of 0.90 and a WHIP of 0.90. He struck out nine.
