2014-15 Season, playoff bound again

Pretty good season this past season finishing with a record of 46-32-4 and 96 points. Good for 3rd in our division behind the Calgary Flames and Conference champs Anaheim. Player wise, this was another rough season for injuries. Hall, Eberle, Hopkins all suffered fairly lengthy injuries through the season which hurt us equally when they were gone.

We made some seasonal moves picking up Tyler Myers, Brian Little, Tobias Enstrom, Cam Stewart and Gaudreau. Due to the injuries that we had during the season, we used some guys who weren't really ready though they did play quite well. Josh Currie who came from the Condors of the ECHL and filled in very well. He scored 10 goals and added 18 assists in his full 82 games.

Scoring wise, Jordan Eberle was on a complete tear when he was hurt late in this season. He finished with 43 goals in his 70 games but was leading the league when he was hurt and never really fully recovered from it and finished 4th inn goal scoring. Brian Little led the team in scoring with 71 points in his 84 games. Taylor Hall played only 60 games but had 57 points and really came on late to help with the push for the playoffs.

Brian Elliot played 45 games and posted a 2.99 gaa and a .903 and Ben Scrivens played 36 games and a 2.75 gaa and a .910. Expected a little more from Elliot after signing him in the offseason.

On the backend, Justin Schultz had a solid season scoring 7 goals and adding 40 assists in his 73 games played. Matt Niskanen had 10 goals and 28 assists in the season and played all 82 games. Overall, we finished 8th inn goals alllowed so I guess we did ok now we just need to work onn scoring.

Next up, the post season
