The Canadiens return home for the rubber match with the (7-10-1) Maple Leafs. The Buds beat the Canadiens the last time the met in the Bell Center 4-3. G Martin King will get the start on the back to back nights.


The Habs killed off 2 Leaf PP's and will start the 2nd period with just over a minute on their 1st PP out shooting the Leafs 15-7 in the 1st but no score.


After 2 periods, the shots are 18-12 for Montreal and each team is 0 for 3 on the PP.


The game was getting a little slow, lots of face-offs and not many shots for either team. With 2:43 left on the clock, the Canadiens will go on the PP. The Canadiens get 1 shot, but don't score and the game ends in a 0-0 tie. Montreal out shot the Leafs 27-18. Montreal Canadiens LW David Wass was selected as the 1st star, he played 14:34 of ice time. The 34 year old now has 4 goals and 7 points with 0 PIMs and a +5 rating in 19 games. Wass had a career high in points with 49 in 2001-02 for the Canadiens.

Ottawa Senators G Petr Kadlcik stopped all 32 shots in a 1-0 win over the Bruins. The 32 year old is now 1-4-1 with a 2.67 GAA, 1 SO and a .919 SV% in 6 games. Kadlcik had a career high 23 wins with the Blues last year.
