The West Driftwood comeback rested on the shoulders of Ricky Cavazos, whose ERA was still well over 6 after two starts, both of them losses for the twenty five year old. The East passed the ball to Alberto Sanchez, who was on a two-game winning streak after a disastrous first outing.
East Driftwood loaded the bases in the top of the fourth and Jared Crudup hit a two-out double, which he stretched into a finish at third base to take the lead. West Driftwood pulled a run back in the bottom of the second to bring the score to 3-1. The score remained at this until West Driftwood tied the game on the back of two doubles and a single in the bottom of the sixth. With 3-up, 3-down ninths for both sides, the game went to extras. East Driftwood squandered a loaded bases opportunity in the top of the tenth and inexplicably, Paul Greenwood loaded the bases in the bottom of the ninth after intentionally walking James Jefferson with no outs. All it took for West Driftwood to win was a single from Austin Schlegel.

W: C. Wilson (1-1) L: P. Greenwood (1-1)
