Bobby Shantz took the mound for the Colt .45s in the top of the eighth. Moon added an RBI single to the Dodgers lead.

Ron Perranoski took the mound for the Dodgers in the bottom of the eighth.

The Dodgers got 11 hits in the win while the Colt .45s committed three errors. The Dodgers also struck out 11 Colt .45s hitters.
