1/2 the home runs... if ~1.2 or so is baseline, i guess i'd stick with the guy on the right... otherise if he's more than a bit over average HR/9 i don't think that ERA difference is as minor as most contexts relating to ERA. just because it's not as stongly correlated overall doesn't mean it can't be extremely relevant for any 1 context.

i think it's quite close, actually. they guy lets up 2x the home runs. that's why his ERA is 50% higher, lol. you can talk abou K/9 all you want... a few less strikeouts vs .5hr/9 is an easy trade to make, clearly.

even thought it wouldn't matter for a cy young, i'd be curious about htose 2 careers. i'd love to see the guy on the left be more consistent and a better career in general.. my money is on it anyway.
