Walkers news: May 28 -- Madison 7, St.Louis 5, Game 1

Record:24-23, 3rd, 3 GB Springfield
Tied 2-2, Kaleb Cowart scored on a throwing error by St. Louis catcher Tucker Barnhart to give Madison the lead for good in a 7-5 win at Comiskey Park (1969).
Cowart had reached on a one-out walk from River Walkers starting pitcher Aaron Nola. A hit by pitcher of Wellington Castillo sent Cowart to second.
Cowart then attempted to steal third, and when Barnhart's throw found nothing but left field, the Muskies led 3-2.
A solo homer from Nick Senzel off Nola in the sixth made it 4-2.
Ender Inciarte answered with a solo blast off Madison reliever Daniel Hudson made it 4-3.
But Springfield tallied three times in the seventh -- Brandon Nimmo, Matt Olson and Francisco Lindor all with RBI hits off Grant Dayton -- to put the Fighters back ahead 7-3.
Muskies starter D.J. Mitchell lasted four innings, giving up two runs on four hits.
A parade of five relievers followed him to the mound. Zech Lemond did the most of the heavy lifting with shutout frames in the fifth and sixth to earn his second win of the season.
Kyle Barraclough got the first out of the ninth and Drew Steckenrider the final two. It was the first save of the season for Steckenrider.
