Allen Cordoba led off with a single off St. Louiis starting pitcher Yu Darvish. He stole second, went to third on a sacrifice bunt by Mookie Betts and scored on a Joey Gallo sacrfice fly, as Kansas City took a 1-0 lead and would never trail in a 5-3 win at Busch Stadium (1997).
Gallo hit a solo homer off Darvish in the third inning.
It's lead down to 2-1, the Pit Masters added two more runs in the fifth on a Brian Mundell homer, also off Darvish.
Kansas City added its final run in the seventh after Mookie Betts led off with a single off River Walkers relief pitcher Reyes Moronta. He stole second and moved onto third on a wild throw from catcher J.T. Realmuto.
Betts scored when St. Louis second baseman Bo Bichette made a wild throw to first on a ball hit by Willy Adames.
Kansas City starting pitcher Shelby Miller allowed one run on six hits over six innings. He struck out two and walked one.
Juan Minaya and David Berg kept the Walkers quiet in the seventh and eighth innings, respectively.
Drew Anderson recorded all three outs in the ninth for his first save.
