Masson was signed as a 36 year old free agent from Cap Chevalier this winter as sort of #4 type guy in the starting rotation. Paris was desperate to replace Kym in the rotation (5.57 ERA) and Nicholas fit the bill to bring up the bottom of the rotation along with Hubert Rivet. So, it was surprising to see him come up so big against Le Diamant in his first start. A 9 inning shutout effort was only topped on how easy he made it look.
