The Pittsburgh Roadrunners 24-year old left fielder Matt Santoro had a fine rookie season in 1974, in spite of leading the league in strikeouts.
But his sophomore season is looking even better so far and he good results brought him the June Batter of the Month honors in the SJL.
And though he started the month on the IL and didn't return to the Brewers lineup until the 10th of June, reigning MGL MVP Joe McPhillips was today named the MGL Batter of the Month.
