What Bench gives you is elite defense and a BA that will hover around 200 at perfect level. You can pick up a RH defensive catcher like Tony Pena or Jim Sundberg for 2 K and get the same defense.

Appreciate the input. My backup catcher is Craig Biggio so I figured having a really good defensive starting catcher would be great, but Cochrane has great splits vsRHP and I've been eyeing him for a while. Thanks for your comment.
