The Canadiens played 3 games above .500 the last 20 games, so in a nut shell they were better. But with 42 games left that equates to about 49 more points and 88 points at the end of the season will not secure a playoff spot. The next 20 games leading us up to the deadline will determine if we are buyers, stand-patters or sellers.

Goalies Age Wins Losses T/OL SO GAA SV%
Nestor, Wilf 27 19 13 1 2 2.29 0.921
Janku, Marcel 31 0 5 0 0 4.93 0.865
Mertel, Stefan 28 0 2 0 0 3.88 0.888

Wilf Nestor has seen his share of rubber this season. His GAA and save % took a hit, but he still is winning games. Our back-ups have yet to win a game.

Going to send down Tomas Badura to the AHL. Lets see what LD Tyler Duclos can do. Our 2nd round, 54th overall pick last year just signed with Montreal and played 6 games in the AHL, the 20 year old had 1 goal and 4 points with 25 PIMs.

Montreal has already used 20 forwards this season. Much was to give some of the youth a chance to show their stuff. The growing pains are the lackluster special teams and defensive play. But the might as well find out what we got. Who knows, maybe they can heat up in the next 20 games. Montreal has LW Ralph Blaney out for 1-2 months with a fractured cheekbone. Montreal also has C Ben Archer out for 1-2 weeks with a tender elbow.
