Shannon Kuchta swings at the first pitch and sends one to the wall in center, but it is caught. Rodarte tags up and trots to 3rd. Glenn Snowden sends one to the wall in right, but it is caught and Rodarte trots home. 3 to 1, Seals. Don Neumann doubles down the left field line and Thomas scores and Neumann ends up on 3rd! 3 to 2, Seals. Jerry Grant flies out to right.

Bottom of the Fourth:

Jack Hinckley leads off with a walk and steals 2nd. Jim Shippy grounds a hit to left and Hinckley stops at 3rd. P Steve Muir bunts Shippy to 2nd and Hinckley holds at 3rd. Melvin Rodarte strikes out... Tommy Thomas strikes out...

Bottom of the Seventh:

With 1 out, Glenn Snowden grounds a hit up the middle. Don Neumann doubles down the right field line. Jerry Grant grounds out to the pitcher and the runners hold... 2 outs. Jack Hinckley swings at a 3-2 pitch and grounds a hit to left and both runners score!! 4 to 3, Beavers!

Top of the Eighth:

New Pitcher: Jim Kokos (27-R). Ricky Duarte is in to play right in a double switch. Jerry Serrano leads off with a hit. Bill Webber bunts him to 2nd. With 2 outs, Dave McDowell lines a 3-2 pitch to right for a hit and Serrano scores... Tie game: 4 to 4.

Bottom of the Eighth:

PH Doug Dietz (30-L) lines a hit to center. Ricky Duarte lines a hit to right and Dietz beats the throw to 3rd. Melvin Rodarte lines out to center and Dietz tags up an scores! 5 to 4, Beavers! That does it for P Ricky Villa. New Pitcher: Dick McKinster (34-R). Duarte gets thrown out trying to steal...

Top of the Ninth:
Tanyon Spiel leads off with a hit. Call to the Bullpen: David Fuentes (24-R). George Cowles grounds a hit to center and Spiel beats the throw to 3rd, but is hurt. Pinch-Runner: Bruce Jump (32-R), a catcher who runs like a 32 year old catcher. PH Mike Hopkins (38-R) grounds a hit to center and the game is tied: 5 to 5. PH Irv Hill (27-R) strikes out. Jerry Serrano swings at a 3-2 pitch and strikes out! Bill Webber swings at a 3-2 pitch and grounds out to the pitcher!

Bottom of the Ninth:
New Pitcher: Frank Bahnsen (28-L) with no runs allowed in 13.1 IP and only 6 hits. 3-4-5 up for us. Shannon Kuchta bloops a hit to right. With Kuchta on the move, Glenn Snowden grounds out to short and Kuchta is at 2nd. Don Neumann loops a hit to left and Kuchta heads home.....safe! And THIS Ball Game Belongs to the Beavers!!
