Last patch finally appears to have corrected the issue with my save so I will resume writing about and playing this league.

Current League date July, 1 1873

1873 Rookie draft: Boston gets "Rock" Raines to go along with Speaker in their outfield.

1. Tim Raines Sr. OF/2B (BOS)
2. Rube Vickers P (MIL)
3. Darrell Evans 3B (TOR)
4. John Valentin SS (ATL)
5. Nick Altrock P (SEA)
6. John Candelaria P (MON)
7. Ed Cogswell 1B (CIN)
8. Jameson Taillon P (LAA)
9. Mike Mansell OF (CLE)
10. Nomar Mazara OF (NYY)

Pennant Races: The Expos get some great play from their rookie pitcher Candelaria as well as suprising hitting hereoes Joey Meyer and Damon Mashore.
I don't know if it will last, especially as Candelaria just got sent to the DL for 6 weeks but the Expos at 47-20 lead the NL by 2 over the Reds. Meanwhile in the AL the A's are allready looking strong to repeat their pennant. Rolling at 50-17 Oakland holds a 9 game edge on the Tigers.

Batters of the Month: Zack Wheat (PHI), George Wright (OAK), Dennis Casey (ATL), Hub Collins (SEA)
Pitchers of the Month :Ralph Terry (LAD), Candy Cummings (WAS),Oscar Jones (NYM), Lucas Harrel (OAK)

League leaders: Wins: Dave Stieb (OAK) 13 and Matt Young (MON) 10
ERA Mark Buerhle MIL 3.22 and Scott Karl (BOS) 3.53
OPS Eric Hinske (DET) 1.130 and Damon Mashore (MON) 1.031
Batter WAR Eric Hinske (DET) 3.4) and Colby Rasmus (CHC) 3.3
