AL Babe Ruth Award [MVP] Tris Speaker(BOS) On the season he compiled a .359 batting average to go with a .417 on-base percentage. The native of Hubbard, Ohio also added 26 doubles, 4 triples, 49 home runs, 130 RBIs and 110 runs scored.

NL Babe Ruth Award: Ed Cushman [LAD] winning 26 and losing 8. He threw 349.1 innings, fanned 574, allowed 208 hits and 109 walks, while holding opposing teams to a .169 average as he logged an impressive 1.62 ERA.

AL Cy Young: Bobby Mathews [TOR] compiled a 24-12 record in 42 starts, tallied 570 strikeouts in 322.1 innings and recorded a 1.95 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .167 batting average against him

NL Ted Williams [best position player] Award - Ross Barnes [ HOU] with .338 .403 OBP and gold glove second baseman.

The Expos have a somewhat disappointing 75-87 first season.

Next year we go all the way back to 1893 for the league totals. From what I remember from 1890s sims we may see some crazy high batting averages next year.
