Once again, on paper, the Indians should be favored. But the Rangers have just had their number.

Chambliss got the Indians going with a 2 run single in the first.

Suarez got a groundout RBI in the second to put Texas on the board. And Cleveland lost Bell to an injury in the same frame.

Harris tied the game with an RBI single in the third.

After three: Texas 2 Cleveland 2.

A run scoring single by Harrah gave Texas the lead in the fourth. The Rangers went on to load the bases with one out and then Howard added a 2 run single for his 30th RBI on the season. Harris came up with another RBI single as the Rangers put four on the board in the fourth.

Vince Colbert took the mound for the Indians in the fifth. Again, the Rangers loaded the bases with one out and Nelson crushed a grand slam to bring his RBI total on the season to 30.

Nettles had an RBI double in the bottom of the fifth.

Tom Hilgendorf took the mound for Cleveland in the sixth.

After six: Texas 10 Cleveland 3.

In the seventh, the Indians had runners at first and second and one out and the Rangers went to the bullpen and brought in Jim Shellenback and he struck out the next two batters to end the inning.

Dick Baney took the mound for Cleveland in the eighth. He got two out and then Steve Mingori came in to get the final out.

Duffy got an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth and an error gave the Indians another run before the final out of the game was made.

Final score: Texas 10 Cleveland 5.
