Trade #6:

RP John Neal (27-L) to Los Angeles for RP Dave Unterbrink (30-R).

An injured slacker for an injured hard worker. Neal will be out until at least May and Unterbrink will be out until June. Both had talent before getting hurt.

Trade #7:
3B Miguel Castro (25-L) to Atlanta for SS Franklin Felix (23-R).

Another slacker hits the road. Castro hit .275 in 432 AB, but with no power and no walks (.655 OPS). Felix was drafted in the 3rd round of this year's B League Draft. He hit .298 with no power. He's a hard worker.

Trade #8:

3B Danny Gomez (30-R) to Boston for 2B Shannon Kuchta (23-R).

Gomez is yet another slacker. He has been the Beaver's 2nd baseman for the last 7 years, batting .243 with a .649 OPS. Kuchta was drafted in the 2nd round of this year's Draft. He hit .274 with 19 HR and is a hard worker.

Trade #9:

RF Jorge Flores (34-R) to Sacramento for LF Jerry Grant (30-L).

Another slacker gone. Flores hit .270 with 20 HR in Vancouver (A). Grant is the only player anyone would give us who was not slow as molasses. Only 3 players were offered when Flores was shopped. Grant is a career .236 hitter in 7 Big League seasons.
