Walkers news: June 28 -- St.Louis 4, Rockford 3

Record: 41-36, 2nd (Tied/w. Springfield), 2 GB Cedar Rapids
Aaron Nola allowed one run over seven innings and St. Louis held on for a 4-3 win over Rockford at Busch Stadium.
The first hit of the game didn't come until the top of the fifth until a two-out triple from the Lightning's Adam Eaton scored Yoenis Cespedes with the game's first run.
But the River Walkers answered with three runs against Rockford starter Adalberto Mejia in the bottom of the inning.
J.T. Realmuto led off with a single, St. Louis' first hit of the game. A walk to Nicky Delmonico moved Realmuto to second and he scored on an Adeiny Hechavarria single.
A Nola bunt moved the runners to second and third.
Both scored when Albert Almora followed with a double.
The Walkers upped their lead to 4-0 in the sixth on an RBI double from Realmuto off Mejia.
Nola departed after the seventh inning, allowing the one run on two hits. He struck out nine and walked one.
Bobby Poyner kept it 4-1 with a scoreless eighth.
But Cespedes took Jake Diekman deep with one on and one out in the ninth to pull the Lightning to within 4-3.
Tommy Kahnle came on and retired the only two men he faced for his 13th save.
