Baseball in Australia, an alternate history

The date is Friday the 2nd of March, 1973 and something big is about to start in the Australian State of NSW: The New South Wales Baseball League. 7 teams will play 60 games, all seeking for the inaugural Waratah Cup.

Preseason has been completed, the inaugural League Management meeting has happened, and Joe Byron has been appointed the inaugural commissioner, and negotiations have begun on a television contract.

These teams are:

Chatswood Centurions (Predicted 23-37)

East Sydney Eagles (Predicted 33-27)

Gosford Cobras (Predicted 32-38)

Maitland Stars (Predicted 29-31)

Newcastle Raiders (Predicted 30-30)

West Sydney Force (Predicted 32-28)

Wollongong Wolves (Predicted 33-27)

Who will take out the cup? Who will be the first MVP? There is only one way to tell.

It's time to play ball.
