1B Glenn Snowden of Portland was the MVP, even though he played on the losing side. He went 2 for 3 and knocked in the only run for the PCL in the first inning.
The A Leagues also had their All-Star game today. 3B Roger Cullifer (26-R) and RF Paul Moreland (21-L) of Vancouver were named to the team as starters. The American Association beat the International League for the second straight season, 5 to 0. Cullifer went 1 for 2 and scored a run. Moreland went 1 for 3 with a walk and a GDP. The MVP was 2B Mike Paterson (20-L) of Iowa (Cubs), who was 2 for 4 with a walk, stole a base and had 2 RBI.
