Today is Fernando Mexicano's 22nd birthday!

SS Dave Risinger (26-R) was placed on the DL. We reluctantly recalled SS Juan Rojas (23-S).

Jose Julio grounds out to 2nd. Jack Hinckley swings at the first pitch and grounds out to 3rd... Deja vu... Fernando Martinez hits a foul ball down the right field line, but Dong-hak Shong drops the ball for an error. Given a 2nd chance to ground out to 3rd to complete the mirror innings, Martinez instead lines a hit to center. Glenn Snowden swings at a 3-2 pitch and hits one 435 ft. to straight away center!! 2 to 0, Beavers! Fernando Mexicano lines out to right.

Bottom of the Second:

Jim Shippy leads off with a home run to left center! 3 to 0, Beavers! Randy Dunaway doubles off the wall in center! Juan Rojas grounds a hit to right and Dunaway scores! 4 to 0, Beavers! P Steve Muir bunts Rojas to 2nd. Jose Julio draws a walk. Jack Hinckley grounds into a 4-6-3 double play....

Top of the Fourth:
Antonio Flores lines a hit to left and becomes the first base runner of the game for the Brewers. Andres Garcia doubles down the right field line. Steve Hermanson grounds out to 1st, unassisted, and the runners hold. Larry McNeil pops out to left and the runners hold. Dong-hak Shong grounds out to 2nd!!!

Bottom of the Fourth:
On the Hill: Ken Caldwell (25-R), beginning his 2nd inning of work after a perfect 4th. Jim Shippy and Randy Dunaway lead off with singles. Juan Rojas grounds into a force at 2nd, 6-4, and Shippy goes to 3rd. P Steve Muir lines out to 2nd and they double Shippy off at 3rd...

Top of the Fifth:

With 1 out, Bob Wick triples to right center. Rick Fountain grounds one to short and Juan Rojas boots it and Wick scores... 4 to 1, Beavers. P Ken Caldwell bunts into a force at 2nd, 3-6. Antonio Flores lines a hit to left center. Andres Garcia grounds a hit to right and the bases are loaded with 2 outs. Steve Hermanson grounds a double down the left field line and 2 runs score... 4 to 3, Beavers. Larry McNeil strikes out.

Top of the Seventh:

Rick Fountain grounds a hit up the middle and gets bunted to 2nd. Antonio Flores lines a hit to center and Fountain scores... Tie game: 4 to 4. Flores steals 2nd. Andres Garcia grounds a hit to center and Flores heads home. Jack Hinckley overruns the ball for an error and Flores scores easily and Garcia end up on 2nd... 5 to 4, Brewers. The Bullpen is up... Steve Hermanson doubles to left... 6 to 4, Brewers. Larry McNeil fouls out to 1st. Dong-hak Shong pops out to 2nd.
