2045 IPA LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES - Game 4

RATTLERS EVEN UP SERIES, BRENNAN BLANKS A'S
Sugar Valley and Glasco have split the first four games of the Ruthlandian LCS... in game four the Rattlers' Davey Brennan (4-0/1.38) was sensational with a 1-0 shutout... he fired a 3-hitter for his fourth straight triumph in the playoffs... he was aided by three double plays... superstar Bobby Gamble supplied a game-winning homer in the seventh inning... it was Gamble's second circuit clout of the postseason... Benny McDaniel (1-2/1.45) took a tough loss, going the distance and giving up only one run on 7 hits.
Gamble (.415) and C Delmer Campbell (.225) led the winners with 2 hits each, while C Jarrah Eubarinja (.273) got 2 of the 3 hits the A's got.

RED SOX SNAP SUN SOX'S 7-GAME WIN STREAK
Red Bluff, known mainly for booming lots of homers, got some impressive pitching and staved off a sweep by Southport in the Tycobbian LCS... Jud Cox and two relievers combined to snap the Sun Sox seven-game postseason winning streak with a 5-1 victory at Pleasure Beach Park... but Southport is still in the driver's seat with a 3-1 edge in the best-of-seven series... the Red Sox erupted for 4 runs in the top of the 8th to send Billy Hoover (2-2/2.86) to the showers and down to defeat... Hoover was banged around for 5 runs and 13 hits in 8 innings.
Winner Jud Cox (3-2/1.95) had a sharp outing, limiting the Sun Sox to just one run and 5 hits in seven innings... Logan Laine (0-0/1.93) and George Reynolds (0-0/5.40) preserved the win with 2 scoreless frames... it was Reynolds' third postseason save.
CF Ike Sweetwater (.400), SS Leemon O'Donovan (.211) and LF Lee Wood (.556) sparked the Red Sox with 3 hits each... O'Donovan and C Phil White (.231) plated 2 runs apiece... Southport's best bats were SS Gonzalo Topez (.457), RF Pat Kinney (.222) and 1B Eddy Douglas (.355), all with 2 hits each.
