NASHVILLE PREDATORS GAMES 77-82

GAME #77

Predators 3
Kings 2

Shots on Goal: 37-37

Predators sneak out with a win in Los Angeles thanks to Filip Forsberg’s game winning goal and 35 saves by Louis-Philip Guindon. Ed Sharp was very good in this one – despite being held without a goal, Sharp had a game high seven shots on net and threw three hits. Sean Day was also effective despite finishing a -1 as he had three shots, four blocked shots, and five hits helping the Predators get the victory. The third line for the Predators struggled ending up a -2 and generating just three shots in 12 minutes of ice time.

GAME #78

Flyers 5
Predators 3

Shots on Goal: 29-22

Flyers get points from 13 different players and hold Nashville to just 22 shots on net, as they pick the win by the score of 5-3. The Predators top paring of Sean Day and Jammu Parkkonen had a rough day ending the game with no points and each a -3. The top line for the Predators would also struggle defensively finishing the game with each player a -3. The Bailey-Haula-Nash line was a bright spot for the Predators in the loss generating consistent offense and playing solid defensively.

GAME #79

Predators 1
Lightning 2

Shots on Goal: 27-43

Lightning fire 43 shots, finally break through with two goals on 19 shots in the third period to defeat the Predators 2-1. Rick Nash continues his strong play with the Predators scoring Nashville’s only goal and getting six shots on net. Louis Philip Guindon was excellent making 41 of 43 saves, but it wasn’t quite enough. Nashville’s top line struggled to get much offense going mustering just 3 shots in the game. Jammu Parkkonen had a good game on defense for the Predators.

GAME #80

Wild 2
Predators 4

Shots on Goal: 27-34

Preadtors play a solid 60 minutes, get 25 saves from Mike Smith on route to a 4-2 victory. The pairing of Holm and Martinhook was excellent on this night – being on the ice for all four goals, and ending up +4 each. At the same time the paring of Jake Milan and Simon Karlsson struggled ending up a combined -4 with no shots on goal. Brett Mohler was excellent for the Predators scoring once and registering five shots on net. Nashville’s top line had a good bounce back game.

GAME #81

Sabres 3
Predators 2

Shots on Goal: 32-28

Predators drop third of their last four in tight game against the Sabres. Brent Seabrook, despite being held pointless, was a force to be reckoned with recording a game high eight shots while blocking three in a losing effort. Jake Milan and Colin Martinhook were solid defensively as the Predators third pairing. Yves Blanchette had a good game for the Predators recording an assist and four shots in the loss. Unfortunately, the rest of the offense was quite quiet in this one.

GAME #82

Predators 0
Sharks 3

Shots on Goal: 19-34

Predators end their season on a low note managing just 19 shots in a 3-0 shutout loss to the Sharks. Zack Gleason and Jamie McGinn each had a goal and an assist in the win. Pontus Aberg was a rare bright spot for the Predators in this one managing six shots despite being held pointless. The Predators centers also did a decent job in this one, but the wingers had a rough day as the Sharks’ defenders did a great job of shutting them down. Mike Smith made 31 of 34 saves in what may be his last game in a Predators uniform or even in the NHL.
