GAME #56 (1/31/2021)

Shots on Goal: 44-23

Oilers dominate the shot clock and get three second period goals on route to a 3-2 victory. Nicklas Backstrom had a strong game for the Predators, finishing with five shots on net. Brent Seabrook was strong defensively finishing the game +1 with four blocked shots. Jake Milan had a good physical game leading the team with five hits. The Trey Lewis and Colin Martinhook pairing struggled defensively ending the game -1.

Shots on Goal: 34-31

Ed Sharp breaks a 2-2 tie late in the third period as the Predators earn a hard fought 3-2 victory on the road. Philip Holm and Jammu Parkkonen had a great day on the backend for Nashville, finishing the game +2 with a combined five shots on net. Despite being held pointless, Rick Nash had a very strong game for the Predators finishing +1 with five shots on net. Jake Milan and Brent Seabrook struggled ending the game -1 with zero shots on goal.

Shots on Goal: 30-30

Blue Jackets score three times in the third, including twice in the final three minutes of the game on route to a 4-2 win. Colin Martinhook scores first career NHL goal in the loss. The Parkkonen-Holm pairing struggled ending the game -5 between the two of them. Despite being held pointless, Brett Mohler played a solid game ending up with three shots and four hits.

Shots on Goal: 30-44

Marc-Oliver Roy has a three point night while Chris Kreider scores twice as the Rangers beat up on the Predators. Rick Nash was a bright spot for the Predators finishing the game with a goal and an assist on five shots. The fourth line for the Predators struggled in this one finishing -1 in just over five minutes of ice time. Bad news on the injury front for Nashville as Jake Milan will miss 12 days with a knee inflammation while Brett Mohler is out one month with broken rib. The Predators have called up Jake Moscatel from AHL.

Louis-Philip Guindon makes 34 saves while Yves Blanchette has a goal and an assist as the Predators get a 3-2 victory in Chicago. Simon Karlsson and Colin Martinhook struggled as a pairing finishing -2 and pinned in their own zone for much of the night. Jammu Parkkonen had a great game finishing +2 with four shot attempts and a couple of hits. The Nash-Bailey-Blanchette line was Nashville’s best finishing the game with a pair of goals and nine shots on net. Pontus Aberg was electric in his limited time on the ice registering four shots on goal.

Predators muster 42 shots on goal, while Philip Holm scores the eventual game winning goal as the Predators edge out the Kings by the score of 4-3. Jammu Parkkonen continues his great play for Nashville ending the game with a goal and five shots. Brent Seabrook was also strong on defense for the Predators finishing with an assist and five shots. Erik Haula was arguably Nashville’s best forward finishing with an assist, a +1 rating, and five shots on net.
