However, try this if you are having game crashes to make sure this is not the cause...
Check how much memory is left on the hard drive where your OOTP 2007 is stored. Each league generates a ton of data, sometimes as much as a gig if you're using historic photos, etc.
It is very important that you have at least 15 percent free, empty or available space on your hard drive. Every time that I fell below this Microsoft-suggested threshold, OOTP began crashing to disk repeatedly during the beta testing period. Every time I freed up the space, it started working fine again.
Defragging your hard drive is very important if you delete and reinstall the game or if you delete a lot of OOTP league files and start a new league.
