Henry Rangel lines a 2-2 pitch to center for a double. Will Wolf ever have a good first inning? Dave Schoenfeld beats out an infield hit and runners are on the corners with no out. Tom Short lines a hit to right. 1 to 0, Oaks and runners are still at the corners with no out... Felix Salazar lines out to short and we double Schoenfeld off at 3rd!! 2 outs! Dave Russell flies out to left.
Bottom of the First:
Perry Templet strikes out. Dennis Webb grounds out to 2nd. Dale Ainsworth grounds a hit to left. He steals 2nd. Jeff Austin grounds out to 3rd. He is our only legitimate power threat and he is in a big slump...
Top of the Second:
With 1 out, Antonio Mata singles and Steve Church doubles. With the infield in, P Leo Broyles slaps a hit through to right and Mata scores. 2 to 0, Oaks. Henry Rangel flies out to right and Church scores. 3 to 0, Oaks.
Bottom of the Third:
P Ron Wolf leads off with a hit. Perry Templet grounds into a force out, 3-6, and then Dennis Webb singles. With 2 outs, Jeff Austin doubles to score a run. 3 to 1, Oaks. Howard McNeal strikes out to end the inning.

With 1 out, Antonio Mata doubles to left. Steve Church draws a walk. P Leo Broyles lays down a bunt. 1B Jeff Austin charges in and fields it, but then makes a bad throw for a 2 base error and Mata scores. 4 to 1, Oaks. Henry Rangel strikes out! 2 outs. Dave Schoenfeld, who has worn our pitching staff out so far this season, singles to left, scoring both runners. 6 to 1, Oaks.
