Just wanted to chime in that I got one these "Champions winning the Series on the road" but the message saying they won it at home.
I've also included the box score.

I have checked 5 league champions stories for a test league I use to proof the News.
So far, all of the home teams won the league title and played the last game at the park listed in the News Stories.
I'll keep an eye out to see if it comes up the way you stated.
